sigh
i cannot believe the cruelty of heaven. bad karma? maybe. whatever it is, i really wanna be somebody else right now...
the situation in the lift was tense and awkward, at least for me if not my sis and mum. earlier, we had went out for dinner coz my uncle struck 4D after .. ok this is not very important. then again, neither is the rest of this post important, because it wont affect you, and nobody will remember this about 10 seconds after reading it. ok back to where i was, yeah my uncle struck 4D and he had to treat us to dinner. for a reason even less important, so unimportant i cud have been sued for taking up virtual memory had i posted it here. i gotta stop doing this.
YEP ok as i was saying my uncle had to treat us to dinner. then at dinner, sometime after the last dish was served, my aunt commented that my nose didnt look like my mum's or dad's, but my sis's one did. er ok after she said that, i knew it was coming. i waited. and waited. not for long though. in around 3 seconds, my mum said, "yi yuan bao cuo lor". this in english means, hospital gave her the wrong baby.
you might be able to guess what happened now. this o-so-unfortunately, was not a joke. it was more like a .. either truth or supported guess thing. a few years ago, actually my mum did tell me sth like that before. i cant remember her exact words, but she said sth like the nurse mixed up you with another baby. at that time, i was quite- sad. a bit shocked, a bit sad. a bit angry, a bit faint. a bit of everything. i didnt take it too badly though, it wasnt a 100% confirmed thing. i didnt forget abt it, i just placed it at the back of my mind. things were fine after that. until today... even though im sure by tomorrow this whole episode would have gone to the back of my mind, just like every darn thing that happened to me.
actually, i feel shitty now. even though my parents are darn good to me, i have never really treated them well. the only time i offered my mum a drink was in primary 3, while she was helping me colour my art. she announced it to the whole family. i stopped doing shit like that, it totally embarrased me.
someday, i might go for a blood test with my parents. i dunno, they prolly want to as well. to find out the truth. to end the mystery. to finally erase a question mark in their hearts, which had unfortunately been planted there for like, 17 years now.
back to the dinner.. actually out of the corner of my eye, i peeked at my mum after she said that sentence. i pretended i didnt hear it at all. my relatives? i didnt see how they responded. i was busy pretending to look at something else. but for a long time, noone said anything. there was a lump in my throat, growing bigger by the second.
blogging makes memories even more unforgettable. its like memorising what happened, so you wont forget about it the next day or something. i wanna do just that. for all those who might be concerned.. dun worry, im happy. the sadness will go, all this will end as abruptly as it started.
